Jobs In Accounting Field Growing
12/21/2009

The latest news...

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics is making claims that many positions in the accounting field are becoming more in demand with increased positions that need to be filled.  Both private and public organizations are requiring the use of accountants regardless the size of their company.  And with the vast range of positions needed- in all areas of accounting- a new member of the hiring pool should not experience any trouble landing a job if they’re properly qualified.  Financejobz.com can attest to that.

Qualifications are what will get you hired for the job of your dreams… or stop you from advancing in the accounting field.  If you aren’t looking to be an accredited accountant, you may wish to opt for a related position in tax preparation, bookkeeping, and/or payroll administration.  For those willing to complete a four year + course study receiving a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, the job market expands considerably once you pass the Certified Public Accountant Exam.  Don’t forget, this is mandatory if you wish to work in any company that is SEC registered.

There are many options to consider when finding the right niche for you in the accounting world.  Many folks choose to become self-employed running their own business, while others opt to work for private or governmental agencies.  However, no matter where you decide to lay your hat, you will be responsible to advise clients about budgets, taxes, risk assessments, investments, perform audits, and so on.  The key thing to remember here is, the more education and experience you have, the bigger the pay check you’ll receive.

As an accountant, your salary will vary from position to position.  Factors that will contribute to the amount of your salary are education- again, the more you have the deeper your pockets will become-, the geographical location, and the type of industry you work for.  For example, if two people are doing the same government job with the same job description, but one works for the State and one works for the Federal Government, the person working for the State will receive much less.  In other words, choose wisely when deciding what the best place for you to work is.
